85 Bronco starts sometimes

I recently bought a 1985 big Bronco 5.0 with fuel injection. The engine starts easily and runs as long as I want with a very erratic idle. Shut it off and start it again repeatedly with the same result. Let it sit for an hour and it will not start with out starter fluid and then stops running when the fluid burns up. Next day the same thing all over again. Any suggestions or ideas greatly appreciated.

OK.....you have to use the search a bit, chances are you will find something there. Try to let us know a bit more also...........anything you may have tried to help the situation......have you tried to pull the codes yet? Can you hear the wine of the fuel pump when you turn the key to start it? When was the last time it had a tune up.......????

Keep giving us more info........but off the top of my head....it sounds like a fuel pressure problem........got a Haynes or Clymer manual?

Yesterday when the truck would no longer start there was no sound from the fuel pump when the ignition switch was turned to "on". The truck started easily today twice and the fuel pump did come on. The pattern seems to be that after the truck runs for a while the fuel pump stops working until the next day. There are no after market or custom parts visible on the truck. I don't have a code reader.
