Front brake question

I have a 1976 F-250 parts truck that I was planning on taking the brake caliper brackets off of this weekend. I have never done this before and don't really know what I have to do to get them off, but I assume you have to take the hub, rotor, and spindle off. I was wondering if once I get the brackets off if I can put the front end back together, minus the caliper brackets, and have the truck still be a roller.

nope. the caliper bracket is part of the king pin assembly. you will have to press them apart. real fun job to say the least.

assuming it is 2 wheel drive, gashog is correct

Nope, its 4 wheel drive, maybe I should have put that, it is also a dana 44 front end if that makes a difference.

just for a rolling axle, you can pull the brackets and bolt the spindles back on, but it is not driveable
