Summer events....

Keep your eyes peeled for shows/events this summer, keep us posted on what`s happening in your areas.
Would be nice for some of us to meet up at a show, auction, cruise, picnic or whatever. Let`s do it.
Don`t forget the spotter`s cards, sign up some newbies, we need help!
Organize a coffee/FTE meeting in your area soon.
Let` s do something this year, spring and summer is coming up!!!!!!!!!!

Actually my dad will not be attending this years show with his Little Red Express so the long didtance award is up to be won by someone else this year. Everyone in the past goes home with some sort of prize.

How far away are the usual long distance winners from and what is the usual award/price? A trophy?

I do offroading, when I can. One thing I really like to do is head out to the bush and get wood, and alot of time I make it a point to take the roughest route

The La Ronge car show has prizes that are donated from local merchants. Stuff like fishing hooks, tee shirts, gift cert for fuel, car wash soap and mitt, mugs and cups, hats, model car (NAPA), KFC gift cert, not huge items but at less it's something.

Sounds like it would be a good time, it`s the distance/time that can be a problem for me. I will try to make it as it is has the most beautiful scenery and it`s been quiet awhile since I was through there.

We would like to make it up to Saskatoon some time this summer. Maybe take the brother's T-Bird since there might be 4 of us travelling. June or July will be better, or the first couple weekends in August since harvest starts for us after that.

77SilverStreak, in early/mid June the Classic Mustang/Ford club has a good show & shine, July has alot of show/shine events in or somewhere near by as well as Pionera Days at the Western Developement Museum. August has the CKOM cruise weekend. Summer is a good time to drop in and have a visit as we can get you to a car/truck show, other interesting family events.
What year is your brother's T-Bird?
I know about harvest as I used to farm, have rented the land out and still really enjoy living on it. It`s just 12 minutes on pavement east of Saskatoon.

The Saskatoon Western Development Museum (WDM) is also the home of the Saskatoon Antique Auto Club. There is alot of WDM vintage vehicles on display. Your show and shine with a dance to follow sometime near the end of June will be a good one to attend I`m sure, looking forward to it and hope it happens. If you need any help or more info be sure to e-mail.
