If all you want to do is lift it a couple of inches to level it out did you look and see if you can get an add-a-leaf for the front?

74 F100 351m, I'm glad you mentioned that you'll be doing all the necessary reinforcing, and that its a work in progress. Its important to mention because some folks might look at it as done and try to replicate it as is. Thats why we issued the cautionary posts. It was by no means a slam on you or your truck, and I'm glad you didn't take it that way. Take care

Here is the brace I made for mine. With 3 recever hitches, the one in middle is for a winch and the two outside are for recever shackles.

JC Whitney sells an add-a-leaf for the front, I believe its $69 or so. My local 4x4 shop quoted me $121 for a Skyjacker front add-a-leaf.

spry the hell out of the bolts with a good lube, wd 40 or somthing similar.
then let it sit for a while. Spray the bolt and nut, let it sit some more, the hit the bolt. Don't worry, you won't brake it, you'll just brake the rust loose and then try to un bolt it.

take the pressure off the bolt(lift the bracket off of it), with a hydrolic jack if you need, and tape it out from the thread side.
Can't really see it, so I'm just guessing.

The bolts are a pressed in type. They have spines on them like a wheel stud.
