D44 differential gasket

Has anyone just used silicone instead of the gasket? Just curious to see if it would work or not.

Yep sure have works fine. or if you prefer use hi tack on one side silicone on the other and gasket should be re-useable. The clean up of parts is almost half the job it seems at times.
