Torque Specs
My Chiltons hasn't arrived yet. I was hoping someone could give me some torque specs on for the Valve covers on a 72 360. I am hoping to change those tomorrow. Got the power steering fixed today, a lot easier to drive 
.

Aaron, as you tighten up the bolts, you will "feel" the bolt tighten. make 'em snug and you should be ok. use a short ratchet if possible...

Torque Specs
Make sure you go around the covers several times as the gasket will "relax" as you tighten it. Snug it down using something with a short handle. No need to go crazy. Then go over and do the other side. Come back and start over. The bolts that were tight just a few moments ago will be almost loose. Just snug them down again. Do this process several times and you won't have any problems.
