1979 Lariat

I am told that a 79 F150 4X4 Lariat with a flare side box is rare. After owning only long box style sides I do not know if this is true or not. I recently purchased a 79 F150 4X4 (full time), the truck came with a 400 C6, air, tilt, cruise, 350 gear ratio. I tried to find stats on the internet but was unsuccessful could someone please let me know any info that may help with the rarity of this truck or is it just another truck.

Thanx

Is the question just asking, is a 79 Lariat with a flareside rare.
If so, to me yes, I've only see one flareside in my area, but if your asking is a 79 Lariat full time 4wd rare, then yes the Lariat part is, but other than that a 79 4wd is very often seen and a full time 4wd isn't as rare as you think. I have a full time 79 Bronco ranger xlt.

Yes the Lariat with the flareside box is the part that seemed rare to me. I have seen other short boxes and long boxes with full time 4wd. I wonder where I could find stats on how many were produced for this year in this configuration. Any help?

You won't find it !

Only Ford has that info & I have asked them to share production figures with me at least 10 times.

Why they won't share I don't know.

The Read FTE all the time

It being a Flareside in 79 is rare enough ...having the Lariat package probably means it was ranch truck at sometime.
