Help, got a stranded buddy

I got a buddy that is on the side of the road right now. He has a 99 1 ton and suddenly lost brakes and powersteering. Are they on the same pump? My 97 has a ps and seperate vac pump.

Not sure about the OBS - but the new ones do use the same pump.

Yes, the truck will stop, but without the boost it takes all you can muster to stop it on a downhill grade at 40 mph. I can't imagine trying to drive in traffic without power steering and power brakes.
