I NEED YOUR HELP/I JUST GOT MY FIRST F-150 2004 4.6 4X4 35000 MILES.I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME WITH ANY TRUCK.I WAS DOING APPROX 65 WHEN I GOT A VIBRATION IN THE STEER WEA.AND THEN IT TURNED INTO VIOLENT SHAKEING FROM STEERING WHE FOWARD.TIRES SOUNDED LIKE I WAS GOING OVER RAILROAD TRACKS EVEN MY WIPER BLADES WERE BOUNCING UP AND DOWN.PULLED OFF THR ROAD CHECKED TIRES ALL FLUIDS.GOT BACK ON HIWAY TURN BACK RIGHT TO FORD.PROBLEM VANISHEDIM NOT CRAZY/HAS THIS HAPPEND TO ANYONE/THANKS EDSELL

First off welcome.
you may get a better responce and better answer if you post this in the 2004+ F150 section of the board.
My guess would be mud, snow, ice in a rim. You could have thrown a weight but where it went away I really don't know. Bad tire? Rock(big rock) in tire?
I do know the 2004 F150 was getting complaints about the bed shaking and other vibrations. Don't know if it was totaly resolved but rear ends were replaced, tires and rims were replaced and drive shafts were replaced to pin point the vibration problem. I think one guy solved his proble of vibration with an aftermarket drive shafe. One thing to remember is that the 04+ F150 has a boxed frame as apposed to the older C frames so you will notice more vibrations with the stiffer frame.
