Cranking but not starting
I have a 1991 bronco, just had the E4OD transmission rebuilt, now it won't start. I have checked almost everything for power, from the ignition switch to coil to ICM, everything works. If I jump off the starter solenoid and hold the key in Start it will run until I let the key go to Run then it dies. The only thing I can think of is to change the ICM because I ran the codes and the PCM/EEC-IV tested fine. If anyone out there has any ideas I would be very thankful.

Had a 91 Tempo that would start like that, turned out that the ignition switchwas split open. Put a couple of zip ties around it and it worked, it was only a Tempo so I was not going to do much to fix it.

yeah, thats sounds like a faulty switch to me too. Especially if you have to hold it.
I'd try to trace out that signal coming from the ignition switch and see if what you are getting with a meter.
