SCMT 1715 Pinging
I have had my tuner installed for a few months now. Over the past month or so I have had pinging in the 4-5K rpm range. I have shopped around to get a better quality gas and it seemed not to effect it. I am careful when I hear pinging and let off. The problem is the V10 is just dang fun to drive

Check to make sure your EGR and all related componets are functioning correctly.
I had a massive detonation problem on my Expy, my DPFE was bad and my EGR wasn't working properly. Interestingly, I got no codes. But I've got a custom tune and a ton of mods including a blower, and I rarely get codes for anything, even clogged cats threw no codes...
May or may not be it, but it's worth a shot and it's free to check the EGR system out yourself.
Could also be plugged cats or some other exhaust restriction, you can have a shop do a backpressure test if you suspect this. Many places won't charge you, and it only takes a few minutes.
