Was I ripped off?
I took my 02 Explorer in, multipoint inspection included Drive shaft --- checked ok. One week later there is a leak at the rear. I went back to the dealer, they said it was the rear axel seals, they removed differential and installed new axle seals. My question, could the multipoint inspection cause the leak and was the dealership responsible for the damage? Thanks!

I doubt the inspection caused the leak. However I would think that if there was truly only one week's difference between the inspection and when it started leaking there probably should have been evidence of leakage during the inspection.
For what it is worth I had to have the seals on my '03 replaced at 29K miles.
