What could it be?
We drive along and once in awhile the rpm's get stuck at 2400 rpm. After approx 10 - 40 seconds it will go back down to reg idle speed. This is really hard to drive when it is at 2400 rpm, the engine wants to pull the truck, so it really needs to get fixed soon.
It only seems to get stuck once the rpms go above 2400 rpm, and are on the way down from what I can tell. Does this sound like the TPS? Again this happens without warning once in awhile.
Since I havn't been reading much about the Superduty, is there an onboard diagnostic procedure similar to the old body style fords that I can do to find out problem areas? Or do I need to have a scanner?
