I had no problems getting mine replaced on MY98 Expy EB. Sue(I believe) was very helpful with the recall. I think you shold be able to get new mirrors without any problems. Those folks at MUTH sure were nice to me.

The silver film was bubbling off of my 99 EB (back in 2004), and found out about the recall on this website......PS, thanks to who ever figured this out!!!!
I took some pictures and will try to find and attach to this thread, basically it looks like a bad, homemade window tint job. The mirrors became almost transparent in direct sun light....
Muth required that I send the bad mirrors back and buy new ones ~$200. After they received the bad mirrors, they refunded the $200...
Some advice.... Make sure to use a hair dryer to warm up the little white ball joint screw looking things, I did not and removed when it was ~ 40F outside and they broke...
Other than that, it was easy to install, and Muth exchange was flawless and they were great to deal with....

I contacted Muth last week about the mirrors on my 99EB. Gave them my credit card number and they sent me two new mirrors with good instructions. Boxed the old ones in the box provided and sent them back to Muth. Waiting for them to credit my account $219.
Muth was very professional...great company to do business with.
Broke one pin during the assembly process. The new mirrors are great.
