my b2 87 with the 2.9L a4ld won't start i have power to everything else
i place key into lock and turn nothing not even a click like a starter soleniod would be doing nothing... i had previously taken off my computer becuase i was taking out the carpet. but that wouldn't make my truck not start.

I'd pull out the multimeter and see if you're getting power to the starter solenoid lead when you turn the key to start. If you are then you should pull the starter and get it tested. If you aren't getting power then you know you've got some tracing to do.
If you don't get any juice to the wire from the ignition switch to the solenoid, you may want to pull your steering column apart and see if the link from the lock cylinder to the switch is working, and, also check your fusible links / fuses.
