Oil filter adaptor

Hello everyone, this is a great site with alot of great information, I've been stopping by for while just to read the info, but this is my first time to post.

Thanks for your time and answers.

I have a ford oil filter right-angel adaptor that i took off an 1976 e350 that a 460 in it. I know in the van it was used to keep the oil filter away from the cross member. But while looking at it the other day, it looks like it has a 3/8 pipe thread inlet and outlet on it.

My question is could this be used for an oil cooler setup.(like a sandwich adaptor that you would get with an oil cooler kit)

I also have another question about my truck, I've looked everywhere to find out what trans and axle ratio is in this thing, maybe you guys could help me.

axle ratio is posted on your driver side door. There is a plate with a bunch of numbers on it, one of them says axle. under it will be a code. You'll have to do a search on the web for what all the codes stand for - I just checked not too long ago for my code, used yahoo and I found it right away. My code was 15j which was a 3.25 guess that only helps if you have the same code though : )

If the code starts with a letter though you have a limited slip rear.
