Sounds like your switch is starting to go bad. Look on the end of your master cylinder for the switch with a couple of wires running into it. Check if it is leaking brake fluid. Search this forum, there is some good info on it here.

When your cruise control is not working, does your horn quit working too? If your horn quits also, then your electric cruise control located in the engine compartment is going bad or the connections are dirty.
