Problem with Homelink
I've having a ongoing problem with my Homelink garage door opener on my 03 Excursion. After programming it to open my Genie door opener, it will stop working after 3-5 days. I hope someone can help, cause I'm getting tired of reprogramming it. Thanks in advance.

At least you get it to work for a few days... I can't seem to get it to work or program with my opener at all. After 3 years, I just use the opener that came with the house.

I pulled the homelink out of a wrecked explorer and installed it in my '05 superduty and have had no problem after the initial programming. My opener is also a Genie with the changing? code and was difficult to program. I finally gave up and hit the button one last time and it worked. Anyway, I went onto the homelink website to get the programming instructions. I am wondering if you are losing power to your unit and that causes it to loose its programming. I know that it needs constant voltage and your wires may be stressed or pinched.
