sort of. up front its called a front shackle reversal. what it does is relocates the shackle to the rear eye on the leaves and makes the fron eye fixed on a stationary hanger. This provides for lift and a better ride. look at www.sky-manufacturing.com for their "1993 Ford Shackle Reversal Kit"
not really. those are a little easier to build them for though. If you can draw up a pretty simple design for it then you can take it to a local shop that does metal work and they can fab you one up if you arent capable of doing so yourself.
i think he is talking about flipping the hanger for ride height increase.if so if i remember correctly the shackle pivots on each side of the frame so no it cant be done.you could possibly relocate the pivot point on the frame to gain height but it also increases leverage on the frame and axle.not to mention for every inch you move the pivot it only adds a half inch of ride height.
i did this on my crewcab.. i'll try and get some pix tommorrow and post them in my gallery.. i just cut the front spring hangers off and then dropped them by placing a piece of tubing between the frame and hanger... i ten just used flat bar and lengthened the rear shackle by an equal amount so as to keep the piion angle the same.. you can also adjust your pinion angle by changing the rear shackle length- i.e. putting in shorter or longer side bars.... pix to come soon!!
