cant use edge evolution

i have a buddy that bought an edge evolution ofr his 1994.5 psd and it wont work because there is no power to the OBD II port....any suggestions on how to get that working???

Check the fuse for the cigarette lighter. The OBD port is also powered through that fuse.

I believe that 94.5 and some 95's are not OBD II ready without being flashed by a dealership.

Yup your correct. I had to go to the Ford dealer and my buddy reflashed it using a code from a 1996-1997 powerstroke..can't recall the 4 digit code, but after that the dlc connector worked with the powerprogrammer..
