Still trying to get injector connectors off of fuel injectors. Did have it rescanned tonight after several more episodes of the flashing CEL. Still shows a number 3 misfire and the 1443. Please HELP!!!
I called a friend of mine who has a lot of tools and he had a compression tester with the adapter. He picked up the keys and warmed up the truck and then ran a compression test for me. He said the compression is fine. He did take the truck for a drive and had the same symptoms as I have had. Rechecked compression and still fine.
Can anyone tell me how to get to the fuel injectors without taking the upper intake manifold off? He said he moved the wiring for the number 3 injector and the problem got a little worse. I am thinking bad wire or connector, but also a possible bad injector.
Thanks for the link. What kind of data can you pull from this. Does it give you data real time? Would love to find out what is happening when the misfire occurs.
Yes, you can view real-time data as gauges, graphs, etc. Take a look at the screenshots. There are also other free software packages that work with this unit.
#3 fuel injector has been replaced. Coils swapped out. Still has a misfire. If you take a spark meter that clamps onto the plug wires and check for spark on the drivers side 1 and 4 plugs, the spark is intermittent. If you take a spark plug and put it against the bracket for the power steering pump. it will spark consistantly. Looks like either bad connection on the triggers wire for the front coil or crankshaft trigger or a bad computer not always sending the ground to the coil. Anyone ever run into this problem?
