Thumbs up PICTURES OF THE PARK & BEST PLACES TO STAY!!

Located only 0.2 miles from the park entrance AND OWNED BY A FORD ENTHUSIAST who I told about the site and chapter so he could join:
TOWN & COUNTRY MOTEL - 5451 Hwy 54 (573) 348-5677
Tell them you are a member of the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Group!! The more guys that call and make reservations, the better the room rate will be. This guy is a great guy and hopefully will join the group soon and chime in!!
www.townandcountrymotel.com

SCOTTISH INN - 5404 Hwy 54 (573) 348-3123
Do Not call the Scottish Inn 800 number as the rates will be higher and they can't change them. These guys are friends of mine also and just across the street from Town and Country Motel. They won't lower their rates for us as a group, but they are nice and resonable.

Tan-Tar-A Resort - St Rd KK (573) 348-3131
This resort is only about 4 miles from the park. Super nice and prices reflect it. If you're looking to make this meet a family vacation, this is the spot. I can't get deals on the rooms, but I might be able to help you out with guided trail rides, waverunner rental or parasailing. Those are the activities I have.

Anybody needs any other information, feel free to send me a private message.

It's not too bad. It has a large charcoal grill that we can use for some tasty burgers and dogs. It also has a fireplace just in case it's not hot enough in August. lol There's several picnic tables and there's a playground right next to it for anyone else that has kids. It's the same place my sons cub scout pack has it's annual summer BBQ. There's bathrooms close by too.

It's no problem at all man. Feel free to fire back any questions.

BTW- In the post I made with three pictures, there's a picture with a red truck (I know, it was a crappy Chevy) that's sitting at the intersection of Hwy 54 and the park entrance. So the store, Woodn' Ya Want It is right across the street from the park. It's a good landmark since the state sign is a little hard to see. The state sign is dark brown with yellow lettering.

6L PWR,
You da man........thank's so much for posting the info, it's a big help for everyone that's planning on attending. How long have you lived in the lake area and do you like it? I wonder if slmann is going to bring the FTE Missouri Chapter Visa Platnum card with him?

I've lived here for 15 years full time. I've been coming down here with my folks for 14 years prior to that. Most considering me a local, but I'm smart and have ALL my own teeth. ROFL

So far, so good. It's a bit slow and boring in the winter, but it works out. Since we've had our kids, it's nice to have time in the winter to play around and relax with them.

No platinum card for me.

It would be nice if the website would throw some support our way.

Hmmm, maybe I'm getting burned out here? lol No, really, I know it is mostly fun and all here, but there are some that come here and just ruin things for everyone else and they can ruin the summer for those of us working here too. It's sad sometimes, but all in all, yeah, it's a blast to work here.

6L PWR,
Oh I know exactly what you're saying..........I lived there for a while a long time ago........working construction. Another fellow and I pulled the Tom Sawyer out of the water using the Lodge of the Four Seasons marine railway and two dozers. I know all about tourists thinking the're the most important and being abusive.

As a matter of fact, I got married at the lake on the lake:

I'm the one that looks like it's a funeral!
