H-pipe or X-pipe?

H-pipe or X-pipe?
My brother was told that since he has a 302 HP that an X-pipe would be better than an H-pipe. My question is what's the difference and is this correct? Thanks for any help.

there was an article done recently on this, if u are considering an x-pipe or an h-pipe, go with the x-pipe. if u think about it the x-pipe gives a more direct exhaust flow and does not disrupt the flow thereby making it easier for the air to flow through. it also helps with scavenging inthe headers, and by equalizing both sides of the block the sound is a little quieter and it is supposed to give a little more power, i have true dual all the way from the headers to the flowmaster 40s. gives it a good rich healthy sound.

X-pipes are definitely the way to go. There have been several recent articles. One which showed that the X-pipe AND mufflers did not lose hp and actually gained torque over open headers!!! H-pipes help but X-pipes are amazing.
