head gasket

Hello everyone!

I own a 1982 Ford econoline van. Straight six (300cid) 3 speed on the floor. Where on the net might I find directions to change the head gasket on this? I think the mechanic would charge around $1000.00 to do this, and I just cant afford that much money right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

easiest place I can tell you is autozone.com, they have some basic instructions like you would get from a Haynes manual.

My experience with many stopleaks and head gaskets is that none of them work...
