what parts are needed for a lift kit. i am thinking about building my own 2-3" lift kit. i know i need:
1. new shocks
2. new springs
3. maybe an add-a-leaf
4. spacers for the rear
what else do i need?...i have a friend that has the tools and the ability to weld and fabricate spacers and other metal parts...which parts can i make? please bless me with your knowledge...haha.

what type of truck is it for? do you plan to offroad with it, or just for looks? if it is just for looks, i would just get a body lift, and spend 300.00 to get something that isnt going to fail, rather than try to make your own stuff. however, if you want a suspension lift, then you will need a track bar bracket and longer sway bar links, or drop down brackets for it as well. and if you have a 2 piece driveshaft, then you will need a carrier bearing drop bracket also. i may have forgotten something, so maybe someone will chime in too.
it is a 93 f250 2wd...i want it for SLIGHT offroading but i also am going for the good look that comes with all lifted trucks...plus i am going to put bigger tires on and i haul a lot and don't want them to rub.
