Any body replace their lines with hydraulic hoses with crimped ends on the line. I am tired of lines with barbed lines and hose clamps coming loose.... any advice on what type of line or size would help, thanks
can't say as I've had any problems with rubber tranny lines with hose clamps blowing off. But going with true hydraulic line with crimped ends would probably be pricey $$$$.
Have you had your pressures checked? If you're blowing lines off maybe there is a blockage, kink, or something somewhere causing it? Just a thought.
You can run all hard line from the tranny to the coolers / radiator like the factory.
The factory only runs meatl lines up to the radiatator than their is a rubber line to conect the cooler than rubber to the auxilary cooler than rubber back to the meatal line i also added a in line filter and a second cooler with a fan every time I turn around their is another spot under my truck ... i'ts always a loose clamp .... tighten it up leak gone next week another one is loose ...hose clamps naturaly loosen up with expansion and conteaction from heating up and cooling down i've even used fuel injection hose clamps their better but no cigar!!! I was just wondering if any one was using hydraulic hose? I'm not realy concerened about the price as long as it was done once and forever. it will probbaly be a pia to do i will have to take the excisting lines off and have them made up for me??? I wonder if I should increase the line size ? i belive their 5/16 lines i wonder if 1/2" line would cool the trany any better?
I would think if you are going to have the line made, I'd have them made the same as exist lines, or whatever is cheaper. Don't think you are going to see any advantage to cooling with a larger line.
