extang fulltilt

Just ordered the Extang fulltilt cover for my truck. Any specific problems to look out for as far as installation or upkeeping? Also anyone found a way to make these lock a bit more securely?

You should be very happy with it. I have one on my 06. The locking mechanisms work quite well. Just a bit of warning, if you have a drop in bed liner, you will have to notch it to allow for complete handle locking under the bedrail. I hope to make a gallery of my new 06 soon, including pictures of the fulltilt unit.

I love the full tilt. I've had mine for about 2 years with no complaints. I installed mine in less than 1 hour by myself, and I am someone who usually lets the professionals do the work on my truck. I even have the factory Ford bedliner. It locks a little snug, but I did not have to cut anything. I can't tell you how many times this cover has paid for itself. No more crawling under the cover to get things that slide to the front of the bed. And the lift off feature has come in handy also. Enjoy!

Do you have the 5.5' bed? I do, and that could be why I had to. I did have to follow some special instructions because that bed is slightly different (had to flip some mounts to make em work right).

THey arent mods persay. You have to alter one step basically. You can find the altered step instructions on the extang site. If you check my gallery, you can see it on the 5.5' bed.
