PCV valve buzzing

PCV valve buzzing
Is it normal for a PCV valve to buzz? I have a 99 Expy 5.4L. I am in the process of diagnosing a problem with acceleration. I just found that the vacuum elbow into the side of the intake was bad. I haven't checked the rear hoses yet. I have heard the PCV buzzing.
