thoughts on the edge
These are my observations about the edge...
Install was a breeze. it took me longer to skim through the owners manual than it did to install the part. Installation is literally running one wire, using a piece of two sided tape, and selecting your program of choice. It took me under fifteen minutes.
I have only used the performance tune so far. I haven't had to tow anything and I did not buy this aid in fuel economy. I do have to say that even only running the performance tune I have not had a drop in fuel economy and I have been driving a bit faster around town and on the highway.
I will try and guess the performance gains, i don't have easy access to a dyno, but I will say they are very noticable. I notice the power gains kick in between 12-1500 rpms. This is worth every penny and I love it. I also really enjoy the display options on the pod. I am moving soon and will be towing a large trailer cross country so the trans temp in the pod is great.
I ordered my edge from discountpowerparts on monday, late in the day and the part arrived on thursday. I was smoking tires in under an hour. I also highly recommed these guys, their service WAS GREAT!!!!
