I guess it shouldn't be that funny- since the Oregon taxpayers are going to foot the bill, but this story surfaced again in Salem, Oregon. A guy in his '72 Ford was being chased through the streets of Salem, Oregon. He drives his '72 Ford pickup through the Marion County Courthouse building- causing....get this....$10 million in damage.
what costs 10 million dollars about it??? thats my question!!! a really feel a court house shouldn't ever costs that much total to build anyways. but i would love to see the damage!!!
hell yeah, lets see you try that in a 2002 ford and see how far you get.
You'd be surprised. A few years back I was driving my '99 F-150, hit a patch of black ice and took out a powerpole.
I skidded through the ditch, bottomed out the suspension going up the bank and broke the pole in half. All I had to my truck for damage was a folded up bumper (mostly the lower half with the fog lights due to bottoming-out going up the bank), a crack in the upper righthand corner of my grille and a little chip on the very front of the driver's side fender. Thats what I would call, "Built Ford Tough".

in the article, they said after crashing into the courthouse, he got out of the truck and started several fires around the building that caused substantial damage
a few years ago a local company built new office building that only cost 13 million and houses a couple thousand peoples officers including hte CEOs rather plush office, sounds to me like this is the typical govermental waste of money. Someone needs to go find out how many of those DOD $800 toilet seats they are actually installing.
