1986 bronco fuel system

just curious. Did the 2.9 liter (started in 1886 ) have the multiport fuel injection or somthing called trottle body injection? I saw a pic of one and the throttle boyd and intake manifold looked like my 87 dose Im assuming they didnt change anything with the motor from 86 to 90 but im not sure.

None of the 2.9s were TB injection.

The only changes they made where, the size of the TB and the heads. The 86 heads DO NOT LIKE HEAT!!!The 90 don't either but are better then the 86.

yeh i know.. the second the temp gauge in mine gose even near the red line in pulling over n letter her cool down and to add water if it ever did have a cooling problem. Im not cracking a head. They say the 1989's and 90's had better heads, but over heating the motor is never good and usally results in the warping, scoring, cracking, etc. or some part of the engine. Some car and truck even crack the block when over heated talk about a nightmare!!
