Pinging Problem

I have a 91 F250 with a 460. At any speed, it will ping. The more I accelerate the worse it gets. Hard to hear at idle, but it's there. I tried running higher octane gas, tried running stuff to clean my carbon deposits, nothing.

Are you sure it isn't an exhaust leak? Exhaust leaks can make a sound like pinging. You might also want to check the base timing to make sure it is set to the correct initial advance.

if you have a spark plug condition chart to compare the plugs to that could tell you alot. Also vacuum leaks.

I'm thinking my chain may have skipped a tooth. I bought a double roller timing set, and figured why not do a few extra things, and ended up picking up that along with a mild cam, lifters, valves, etc. I hoping the timing chain will eliminate the problem.
