warranty
Can ford really void warranty if you are running a banks six gun kit? Took mine in today cause it just died while i was driving it and wouldn't restart, had to have it towed in. Didn't really have a chance to take it out before the tow truck came. Should I be worried?

If they find anything broken in that engine, they will probably blame it on the Banks, and it will be coming out of your pocket. They have a big sticker on the fan shroud that tells you if it isn't EPA certified and you put it in the truck, and it causes engine damage, the warranty is void. You can't say Ford didn't warn you. Maybe your dealer will be sympathetic or the truck will have a simple problem that is unrelated to the engine electronics. Hope for the best.

I have to agree. Right, wrong, indifferent, Mag. / Moss not withstanding...the bottom line is they put a qualifier in the manual. Use it, you loose it.
The bottom line...you blow engine...they see Banks...they deny warranty...you pay or fight...either way is not a good scenario.
Personally, I love programmers but, you gotta know what the $$$ risks can be.

They have to prove it to win a legal action. Not to deny it on the front end. In the meantime your truck sits until legal is resolved.
Once flagged as "legal action pending" the dealers won't touch it.
A catch 22 situation. You can be right for months...awaiting a court decision.
A sorry state of affairs to be sure but, part of the deal nonetheless.
