Front axle question
Does anyone know if a front axle from a 1964 F250 4x4 will work in the 1959 F250 4x4? It appears that the 64 may have a wider axle and distance between springs, but I haven't measured it yet.

I'm almost positive the 61-66 front axle is wider than the '59, but probably not by much. I know the rear axles are interchangeable according to our reference threads. You may be able to account for the width difference with backspacing on the rims. I have a '60 F-100 but my '65 is an F-850, so that's probably not a fair comparison. I'm sure someone else will be along shortly with the EXACT width of each front axle.
