Bad brake booster?
I had a leak in one of my front brake hoses so I replaced the hose and the caliper; I had the brakes bled at midas however, my peddle goes quit a ways, down the truck stops just fine. Before I did the work I could just touch the brakes and they would stop. When the truck is switched off the pedal feels firm when it is started it goes down easily. The back of the booster where the peddle shaft goes in makes a woosh sound when I press the pedal. Can anyone shed some light on this?

What year truck? Sounds like a bad booster, but the later 87-97 Ford trucks have a problem like that. The original master cyls were 1-1/8 inch bore and there is a TSB saying to put a master cyl that's 1-1/4 inch bore. THis occurs after people do front brakes. The pedal was firm before b/job, then it goes down almost to the floor after b/job. I believe they call it "master cyl pass thru". THis may not pertain to your truck, but it sounds similar to what you're describing.
