I have a 95 and the same thing happened to me. the wires going to the kill solenoid had gotten soaked with diesel and the insulation had split and let the wires touch just enough to short so the solenoid would not open or close (which ever it is supposed to do i really don't know). when i replaced the wires it started right up again. i could also move those wires around some before i replaced them and it would start and run until vibration brought them back together. hope this helps.

I'm posting a link to previous thread on this subject, hope it helps.

Have you checked your oil? Obvious but oft over looked, and will certainly cause no start.

That is a typical CPS (camshaft position sensor) failure response; sudden death on the road.
