i have a 78 bronco with a 6" susp lift, 3" body lift....i understand that the lift makes the ride rough, but should the truck jar on bumps? it feels like the axle is going to get ripped off the truck...i don't know the condition of the shocks, but should new ones get rid of this???it has rancho rs 5000 all the way around, quads in front....
Rodney, You had better get committed to the ride. Think about it, it didn't get all jacked up with stock parts, and stock parts don't ride like that.
You may want to see if all your body parts are in tight, because that truck will rip them out. It's hard to say what kind of shape you'll be in by the time you hit 50.

In the cool still quiet of night you can hear chevies rusting away.
The first thing you need to check is your U bolts. Those come lose more than anyone wants to admit. After that, check your shock mounts. If I understand what you mean "Quads in front" you mean four shocks on both sides? If that's so, it will be stiffer than prison weinie. If you want to keep all those shocks, gut three of them, let one do the job. Also check your bump stops, maybe they are too long. Just look for any major loose parts. Jack the truck up by the frame, or bumper, and wiggle stuff around. More than likely its you U bolts.
