logical carbeurator upgrade

1971 F-350 1 ton dually with rebuilt 360/ 2 barrel Autolite carb. What is a logical upgrade for more "umph" with the carb. I live in Vermont so the carb has to be user friendly for choking etc.

logical carbeurator upgrade

The 2 barell carb will deliver enough gas for that engine. You can install a Edlebrock intake and 1405 carb, but doubt you will be happy with the results compaired to the capital outlay.

You would get a lot more bang for your buck, with a 390 crank and piston setup in that detuned engine.

Lot's of people would go for the Edlebrock performer manifold and 600 cfm Holley carb. Not sure what you could do with the 2V carb manifold. If you get a carb and have auto be sure the get the Ford kick down linkage. If driven conservatively you could actually get better milage due to the smaller front venturies.
