bumpers
Will the front and rear chrome bumpers from an '06 superduty work on an '01. I would imagine the rear isn't a problem, but with the new grill are the bumpers still the same?

The rear is the same,but the front is different they use a painted plastic piece thats taller it may work if you can get enough adjustment downward in the mounting.
I took a look at this because I just ordered my 06 with 2 tone paint and I'm ordering chrome bumpers to put on after it gets here.With xlt 2 tone the stupid bumpers com painted to match the lower paint.I didn't want the gaudy chrome pkg.

It takes some doing to make the 05 or 06 bumpers work on a 99-04 SD. Besides the look, the grill is different in dimensions which impacts how the bumpers fit. If you are interested in swapping out, go to this website and you can find some very detailed info on doing it.
