help trans
hello my trans has went out in my 78 f150 2x4 it was a c6 bolted to a 351m i have a good 429 or 460 in my parts truck with a c6 to will it bolt up some people tell me the 429 trans wont not shure please help thanks

He mentioned 429 .
The rear of the crankshaft of a early 429/460 has a smaller hole to receive the pilot nub of a TQ.
(ie:The TQ of a 78 351M/400 will not fit in the end of the crankshaft of a 69-429)
The later 460's have a larger hole which will accomodate a TQ from a 351M C6
