I will begin rebuilding a 460 for my F350 that I tow a 15,000 lb trailer with. I have asked the question before but I am asking again and taking notes this time.
1.) the engine will be out of my 77 f250, my motor guy has some good ideas about what he wants to do but any ideas will be useful
2.) I plan on redoing the electrical side with MSD parts to include and new dizzy, coil, wires, ignition like a MSD 6, and a variable timing ****
3.) I want some headers (what kind and coating) also should I go with a large single or duals?
4.) Fuel pump electric or mech. or both, I looking at running steel braided line prop 3/8 or maybe 1/2
5.) water pump? My water temp does great when I'm not towing but when I do it goes way up any ideas or easy fixes?
6.) any other thoughts or suggestions

It sounds like your headed in the right direction with the electical. The headers, sure why not? As far as a coating I would recomend mud. Ha Ha. I couldn't tell you as far as that goes. The temp, maybe try a different thermostat. Heck, try no thermostat and see what happens. That's easier and cheaper than a water pump. I would say electric fuel pump, and unless your feeding a mountain motor, go with the 3/8 line. Hope that helps.
