Tips/ no drips from drain plug

If you have a bad oil drain plug gasket and have to change it and you don't want to drain the oil yet,I have a small wet/dry vac that I stick in the oil filler hole up top, turn it on ,then you can take out the drain plug without one drip.I you have a magnetic drain plug, it is a good way to check it without draining.I also had put in one quart too many one time so when the drain plug is out and you are under there with a pan, have someone turn the power off or take the vac hose out till you have enough out. They will have to be quick and listen for yor signal to start the vac back up or to stick it back in.....It works great! 2000 F250 crewcab SD 4X4 LB V10 8"Fabtech lift 38x15.50 Super Swampers on 16.5x12 Welds Sidewinders,K&N,Flowmaster

hmmmm...That's an interesting idea. So this does really work? I'd be afraid of sucking oil into my shop vac filter or motor. Or worse yet, I'd be wary of any unspent gas vapors igniting due to the vac motor arcing. But still sounds like an interesting solution.
