Hey...Tim again...i got the 3 inch body lift on the truck now (92 ford ranger) now im left with one more thing....bumpers. they are still at the normal height, what all needs to be done with bumper brackets. For one...im looking at sites and im typing in "bumper brackets", nothing comes up for that, so what is the real names for the stuff i need to raise my bumpers up to my truck? how much do they usually cost? how long does it take? all tips appreciated! thanks
Not sure what brand of lift you got, but I believe that the Superlift body lift kit comes with the hardware to move the bumpers. Do a web search of body lifts
and look up the description of the kits to see who supplies the hard ware then get a hold of that company and see if you can buy it.
Well unfortunately, there are no bumper relocation kits for the 92. I had the same problem with my 92. All companies offer bumper brackets when they are available, they are usually included or you can buy them seperately when ordering the kit. You'll need to get creative and fabricate your own. I didn't lift my front bumper just cause I haven't really bothered with it, and in the back I'm simply going to fill the gap with Diamond plate. If by some miracle you find a company that now manufactures them post back I might invest.
I just read that performance Accessories has the kits, unless this is new, that would be untrue. The body lift I used was a performance accessories kit.

yea...thats what has happened to me..everyone says they dont make them for 92 rangers. i got a trailmaster body lift kit. im about to make my own brackets for the front. but the back idont have a design figured out yet that would work.what i did for right now for the front though is raised the bottom bolt hole on the bumper up to the top bolt hole on the frame... it actually worked for the most part, about an inch gap now but thats better then 3 inch gaps, its a little funny looking, but it will do until i make brackets
alot of guys use diamond plate as a filler and looks ok especially on broncos and f-150's. just for ---ts and grins why don't you try jc whitney. their good for carrying odd ball stuff like that.
My 91 Ranger had a 3" body lift done by 4 Wheel Parts a few years ago. They modified the existing brackets by cutting, re-welding and re-positioning. Not the prettiest job I've ever seen, but it gets the job done, cosmetically. I will never use that rear bumper to tow anything.
