i got a 1993 ford f-350 crewcab with a 7.3L Turbo Diesel with 154,000.
i just had an injector pump installed what should i be idling at? its right above the 5 x 1000 rpm. whats the correct reading she runs strong but doesnt seem to idle right.
If you read the valve cover tag it should indicate curb idle is 650 rpm in gear (auto) or 650 rpm (standard in nuetral). Adjustment is done at the IP screw beside the Fast idle solenoid as seen from the front looking down at a 45* angle. Do not adjust the one at the rear of the IP same side.
