I'm looking for a new speedo cluster for a 76 f150, does anyone know a company that makes these? I've tried the junk yards and haven't seen any except for ones that are in vans that were in any kind of decent shape.
the instrument clusters on these trucks are very simple to take apart. if you can find enough good used parts, you can build a good one and save yourself alot of money. What kind of a problem are you having with your current one?
On the old one the back plastic half completely disentegrated when i was taking it out to reposition the speedo. I guess the heat was to much for the plastic after so long here in Texas.

I've got two other complete clusters but neither are an exact match. Different gauge options and connector style. 5-50 bucks at salvage but may not be any better.
If you can get a good digital picture of your cluster's face/back post it and I'll climb up in the attic and see if one of my spares is the same.

I have quite an assortment of the 100 MPH and the newer (I think 85 MPH). I am from Northern Iowa and we dont seem to have the crumbling to bad here. If interested send me a mail.
Thanks Kevin
i have one here that i bought to replace my crumbling cluster. It is for a 78 and has only alt, and oil lights not gauges. When i went to install it, the connector in my truck is about 2 pins too long for it. So if you have alt. and oil lights instead of gauges, this one may work for you its in great shape, email me if interested
by the way, i am looking for a cluster to replace my crumbling one that has fuel, temp, alt, oil gauges not lights
Had the same problem with my 78. Managed to find one. But it has 100mph speedo instead of the 80mph(?)speedo. Dose anybody know if
the higher mph speedo will read correctly with my truck? I'm
runnin' 4.10 gears. The donor was runnin' 3.55's. My trans is an
NP435. The donor was an auto.
Thanks.

mephisto I think it will work just fine, LMC only sells the parts for the cluster not the whole cluster, They want $599 yes five hundred and ninety nine dollars just for the speedo face and drive unit and $79 for a ammeter or fuel gauge, they dont sell oil or temp gauges....I cant believe they want 599 for the speedo heh I can buy a complete rust free cab with all the interior for 150 dollars more
I really think that an aftermarket company could sell a ton of those clusters if they started reproducing them. All the junkyards here in Montana keep sold out of good ones-my 77 F-150 Explorer unit just crumbled away to nothing.Anybody listening?
