I've got a '70 w/360, all stock. I need to rebuild the carb, but the tag is missing from it for proper identification. Assuming that this is the actual stock carb that it left the factory with (not sure if it is, but it's a good place to start), what rebuild kit is needed? Advance lists 3 different kits. 1 is for a 2100 style, the other are for the 2300 style (I'm assuming they mean like the Holley 2100 & 2300's since these are so similar in design). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Post the carb id. It is stamped on one of the mounting flanges, on the base of the carb. While holding the carb with the accelerator/throttle lever facing you, look at the flange on the lower left.

Reason: additional information
I think it's fair to say the carb is not original. The original carb should be stamped "D###-#", but it may not even be a truck carb. The truck carbs typically have "TK" cast above the identifier on the side of the fuel bowl along with a number such as "1.23", "1.14" or something similar. See anything there?
If you would like to get an original carb for it, we could try to determine which carb belongs on there. There were a whole slew of possibilities for the '70 model year. You would need to post whether it is an F100 or 250, and the original tranny. However, it is somewhat academic if all you want to do is get a kit for the carb you have. Should that remain your objective, your local part guy should be able to get you a kit based on that number. If that fails, how's your digital camera??
I've got a good camera. I'll get a shot of it and try to post it tomorrow. Thanks for your help. I'm not really all that into restoring it to stock, just trying to get a carb rebuild kit for it
