tricks and tuning
all you 460 guys i need your help. i have a 97 std cab long bed f350 with a 460. iam getting about 11mpg with stock gears (3.55) and 34 inch tires. i was thinking about putting the banks powerpack exhaust on it too free up some mileage. i was also planning on a new cap/rotor and wires/plugs to see if that will help any. what iam looking for are any tips or tricks besides the obvious keeping off the throttle to save on some gas. new o2 sensor? higher power coil? different injectors?

11mpg, hey buddy dont be rubbing your high Mpg in my face. thats not bad for a big block, my buddy had a 97 4x4 5spd with 295/75/16s and he got about 9 when not towing, about 6 when towing, i get 10 with my 02 5.4 truck with 35s on it. a good tune up may help a little, but your not gonna get much better than that
