Putting a cooler on the C6. Already have a small one but putting on a large one with a thermostat controlled fan. What side of the radiator cooler should it be on?? In the return line after the radiator cooler??
Took a load of buddies to a swapmeet today in search of an intake for the 429(no luck) and noticed that trans temp stayed even with engine temp at about 185-190. Second trip with the Supercab. 3 hour round trip and it ran great. Gauge is inline not in pan. It will soon be in pan when my new deep pan gets here though.
Lines on C6 ...Front out?? Rear return?? or is that backwards....
That info is so generic it answered nothing??? Just says "see intsructions that come with unit". Sorry to ask so many questions but just wanting to get the plumbing done while waiting on the arrival of the cooler and then I can just drop it in and save some time....
The instructions for my cooler say to start engine cold and see which lline gets warm first, this is the pressure line, this procedure works on all makes and you aren't relying on someone guessing which is pressure and which is return. I do think you guessed right though when you said the line in front is pressure on a C6.

....
Many schools of thought on this one. Personaly I went directly to the cooler and back without going to the radiator and all.
I just finished a complete re-plumb including a remote trans filter and you are correct...........front out........rear return.
Edited to add: This is on my 78 C6.
