well i replaced my iac the other day and today i was at a stoplight and the idle was surging all over the place when i turn on the air conditioning. i am pretty sure there are no vacume leaks. the only strange thing is the new iac ia a little different than the orriginal and i think that is causing the problem any you people have same experiance?
the old iac has the 2 round holes for the air and the connector goes straight out the back. the new one has diamond shapped holes for the air and the plug is at a 90 degree causing the wire on the harness to be stretched a little. there is definately some hangup on it and i plan to see if i can lengthen them tomorrow. but while the truck was running i tried to tug on the wire and see if i could produce a stumble . nothing happened. i am using the original gasket with the round holes , i am pretty sure it seals up well but that might also be a problem. or my stupid wratchet i dropped behind there is causing a glitch...... any sugg?
