Issue resolved!

I bought a set of wheels and tires (radials this time). Truck rides like new. If I had known it could ride this smooth I'd have bought new tires a year ago. :-)

That is not entirely true. You can static balance a tire on a machine and that allows for weights on one side. This puts the weights all to the inside so you dont see weights on the outside of nice wheels
